Does anyone know what the white cable is over the oil filter on my new L494?
Didn't exist on my L320 or Disco3 with basically the same TDV6 motor.

Hi BarryP think I can help you with the white cable, had Landrover Assist out to my 2018 SDV8 which went into restricted performance mode after have only covered 100 miles see my other posts and the technician told me that the cable is to put the car into neutral in the event the car has to be recovered without have to remove the centre console which he said was a right pain!! Yes it disappears down the back centre of the engine and is a bowden cable (pushbike brake type cable) with a latching mechanism at the front.
I think that it could have been routed somewhere other than directly over the centre of the oil filter!
LR logic I guess.
