Heated windscreen problem

Hi Guys
I have a 55 plate RRS 4.2 S/C. When I turn my heated windscreen on, it only works about an inch across and the full hight but that’s it. Any clue why and is there an easy fix?
Many thanks
Daz

Mine has a couple of breaks in the heating strips. Might be worth checking. Barrie.
