I have two 2.5m cables joined together on mine, no problem. Never even gave it a thought when I did it |

i wonder why cute would say no, and if thats the case then why not provide longer cables |

there will be a voltage drop along their thin cables.

I too have two 2.5M cables joined together, never had a problem. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I have had 2 cables feeding my F type Jag since November with no problems & also my Range Rover which is used once every week or so. No problems. The ctek lights are all as they should be |

Good to hear. I didn't think there would be a problem in practice but ctek say no. |

Problem would happen mainly when charging a dead battery or running as a supply as the voltage drop is directly related to the amount of current being drawn.

All that would happen is the charging would take a little longer, since the volt drop would fall as the charging current drops off, and the charger would automatically compensate for it. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
