Standard of driving

The Old Man's RRS came to an abrupt halt in traffic today, as the EPB decided to breath it's last at the most inappropriate moment!
It was at the very end of a straight road where it was clearly visible for about a quarter of a mile before anyone would possibly stumble upon a rather large vehicle, with hazard lights flashing, stationary in the middle of the road.
Is there any good reason that any driver should fail to see such an obstruction and pull up so close to its rear, that upon me getting out and pointing out to the afore mentioned speshtards that is was in fact immobile, they then had to reverse away in order to negotiate it?
What on earth are these people looking at when they drive? Do they only look as far as the windscreen? Honestly, there must have been 30 people did exactly the same!
Is it me or what?
Has the standard of driving fallen to an all time low? Daily... Audi TT 240 qS, tasteful mods.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue

It's awful nowadays, people are in such a hurry but don't actually make much progress. In the day driving well seemed to be an accolade but it's just a chore of getting there and it shows. We had a car yesterday cross over the white line as the driver was looking left, i near stopped and beeped she junked back to her side oblivious to the near miss, so glad I've got the camera fitted Whistle 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Tried the emergency release... Nothing!
I was expecting a little resistance on the cable but it seemed very free, as if pulling on nothing! Daily... Audi TT 240 qS, tasteful mods.
