2.7 TDV6 Engine Rebuilds

Recently there have been a number of threads about failed 2.7 TDV6 engines - the general consensus seems to be that parts to rebuild the engines are not available.

However I have found that Turners have cranks, pistons, conrods, bearings etc to at least get a rebuild going.

So what is the story - can the engines be rebuilt or are Turners parts fluff and not be used.

Cheers

Well the crankshaft cannot be any worse than the LR/Ford product.

And Turners do have a good reputation as a builder of LR engines and supplier of LR engine parts. 07MY RRS TDV6

Yes but the problem is working out which are good parts and which are not.

I guess being in the trade Disco-Mikey's experience with the first lot of aftermarket parts has not been good. I certainly followed his advice on not using aftermarket oil pumps due to failures and bought the proper Ford oil pump from my local Ford dealer. A lot cheaper as well.

This would likely be the only crank I would entertain using...
