Grinding noise and hot wheel sounds as if could be a brake issue, possibly pad/disk metal to metal contact, seized caliper etc. they do have pad wear sensors but only one side front and rear and honestly can't remember which side it is fitted on the front. Not sure about the electrical issues unless being possibly a brake fault that could affect the ABS which in turn causes other faults to appear as the vehicle do have some electrical peculiarities but that is only a complete guess.

OK - Epperstone came up trumps, it needed a new O/S Front Wheel bearing, being sorted today...don't know cost yet and "might be covered by warranty" we'll see ?

An hours labour and £140 for the bearing (decent Timken one), so around £220 from an indi.
