so today i thought id check my lights...
front fogs dont work none of them only the back ones
fuel burner heater not working pulled fuse and put it back in as its ok still dont work
parking sensors not working

think i bought a lemon

FOGS AND Parking sensors are common issues.

Wires broken behind bumper possibly.

check fog fuse behind glovebox

sorted front fog lights 15amp fuse had blown behind the glove box

FBH only kicks in when o/side temp is very cold as its there to help raise the water temp to get the car warmer quicker

needs to be around 4 to 5 °C (or less) for it to kick in once the engine is started

Minimum temperature to start the FBH stated to be different depending on where you look in LR documentation but is definitely in the range of 4-6 degrees C and in my case seems to coincide with the snowflake symbol appearing in the dash display. Also remember it won't start if fuel level is below 1/4 tank.

Sometimes the FBH might be locked out and just needs to be 'purged' using a diagnostic tool such as a IID to get it going again. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

arrgh ok guys thanks, think ill forget about the fbh for now.

i pulled fuse for parking senors but no luck. then went round my rrs to clean sensors it worked for a minute the front ones. then when i tried it again straight after i just got the tone from the back of car and flashing light on dash button.walked round the car and couldn't hear them clicking?
i dont have a diagnostic tool cant afford the price for one but im sure its one from the rear thats causing the problem
ill sort it some how fun n games these motors

buy one or two sensors off ebay. (£10 each)

and swap them in the rear locations until they work

you do need luck on your side, as the fronts can interfere with the rears
and there could be a wiring fault behind bumper.

But if you have a couple of sensors when you remove the bumper, you stand a chance of getting it working

iv ordered a new senors so fingers crossed mate.

ill report back when they arrive and iv tried to find a fix .

My fix was not the first time that the wiring had been "repaired" and so I believe it is a design fault in the routing of the loom. Robin

well iv tried the new sensor in the rear bumper but no luck . will try it in the front asap
