United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black
275/40 20 v 275/45 20

Just read this post with interest, as I have a slightly different question.

I had General Grabbers 275/40 20 on the RRS 5.0 SC, and looked for a reasonable replacement for summer. Knowing we have a lot of wet weather also, I chose Uniroyal Rainsport 3 and went up 5 - 275/45 20.

Had them fitted yesterday, the ride is noticeably smoother, the extra 5 mutes most imperfections in the road I felt more on the 40. However, I put my foot down to overtake this morning going round a corner and an indicator came up telling me to stop the car with an arrow facing outward either side of a graphic of the car I believe.

I restarted and all was fine, but it was a bit unnerving and I am wondering is this due to the extra 5 on the sidewall?, does the computer have to adjust over time to this?.

Thanks.

Have run both 275/45 x 20" and 275/45 x 21" for several years and never had any warning lights come up or any other issues either.

Cheers
Col

Yup, it looks slightly different on my dash as it's the facelift model but that was the one...Thanks.

Is this just telling me to slow down or you risk tipping over?

Another positive view on fitting 275/45 20's. Had a set of Falken FK510 SUV 275/45 20's fitted just over a week ago and the result is nothing short of superb. Halfords Autocentres were also doing them fitted for less than £135 each, so win win. The 275/40 20's were about £15 more each.

Hi mate.

They look good! What size and brand did you go for? They look like 275/50/20.

I'm thinking 255/50/20 same as the full size RR and Discoverys with 20" wheels.

Cheers.

Hi,
Yep, Im happy,
They are indeed 275/50 R20. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx
No problems.

I made the change just for appearance, although it is a nice ride. but any differences to ride quality and feel when driving are subtle.

Regards
Graham

For those running 275 45 20..

I take it there is no rubbing anywhere

And you didn't need spacers?

Thanks,

Looking to make the change from 275 40 to 275 45 myself
