Wanted a Range Rover for years, eventually got myself into a position where I can afford one-I think!! But I am totally new to LandRovers.

Im Wondering what I should be looking for what years are the most reliable? Were most issues ironed out by the facelift? What engines are the most reliable in that age bracket? Ideally I’m not wanting anything over 80k miles.

Also what do you guys think are the essential options when looking for one of these cars?

I’m happy to take any other advice or links to buyers guides (particularly for facelifted models).

petrol ones are most reliable. So if you don't do many miles well worth considering.

Keep £2K back for repairs. That should keep you going for 9 months
