MOT failure, door wont open

Drop car off for MOT and it failed due to rear NS door not opening from either outside or inside. I wasnt aware it had developed a fault.

Doing a search online and it seems a common problem with these cars (06 RRS).

so to say im annoyed is an understatement, so surly this is a saftey fault and should at least have some sort of compensation/recall from LR, or am I in cookoo land here thinking that!

Door still wont open grrrrrr '06 RRS Supercharged Cairns Blue

Interesting thought that.

We tend to get more annoyed at the more significant/expensive design faults.

Imagine if you had children in the car and all the locks failed..... even worse if there was an internal fire. Complete joke, this would not be acceptable on a building. '06 RRS Supercharged Cairns Blue

But in fairness, this issue does not cause all the locks to fail at once. Only 1 door.

Have you considered purchasing a car from Japan ?
