Timed Climate

Hi

Just had my timed climate activated by my local land rover specialist and now i have the additional button on the touch screen. Have set the timer and nothing happens! Fuel tank full, good battery and outside temp well down in single figures.
Been back to the garage and its the first one they have done so left it with them to double check and they have confirmed with additional sources as well as the people who provide their kit for amending the software that all is correct.
FBH runs when starting the engine when cold so guessing no issue there.

With ignition off and turning on radio so that screen activates the normally greyed out buttons for manual vents and manual heat are useable and when i hit the vents they come on but the heat button does not turn on the FBH.

Anyone able to offer any advice on what i may have missed or further tests?

I fitted the module and areal in boot myself and have a remote which also does nothing but im guessing with it not working from the screen the radio module would also have no functionality.
The garage knew the radio module was fitted and also enabled the blipper.

Cheers
Andrew

There are separate settings in the car's configuration file (CCF) for remote and timed climate. If the indie only enabled timed climate, remote will not work. You say you fitted the remote module yourself ... did you also pair the remote with the car? This is done by removing a fuse and putting it back in. There is info about this on the forum if you search.

Regarding timed climate not coming on at the set time, do you leave the climate control on auto and at a reasonably high temperature when you turn the car off? I am not 100% sure if this is needed for timed/remote climate but mine always stays on auto and on at least 20 degrees. Perhaps that tells the car something. Never had problems as long as the fuel and battery charge levels were sufficient.

I also noticed that the manual heat button on the centre screen sometimes didn't work (or was greyed out) but assumed that was either because the temperate inside the cabin was high enough or the car was low on battery. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Hi
Remote paired by removing fuse etc and working correctly. All setting as they tell me enabled in the CCF Files.

I know even if the radio module or remote are not working the timer setting on the screen should still work but it does not seem to trigger the FBH.

i have not done anything with the dial settings in the car and never use the auto setting so that may well be worth a try but this time of year the heat setting is on between 22 and 28.

There is no mention in the land rover online guides about setting the heater controls to Auto though. Still may be worth a try.

Cheers Andrew

Yes, easy enough so worth a try. Normally if the FBH doesn't start EVER, it suggests it needs purging/resetting but you have already mentioned it runs when you start the car so that can't be it. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

This may not help, but then it just might. And it’s an easy process.

Disconnect the remote module from any power, count to 20, then reconnect. It worked for mine after it threw a wobbly and it can’t hurt. Thumbs Up Robin

The indie did this when re setting the remote to rue it out but still nothing.
Just not getting any joy triggering the FBH but odd that the fans will turn on via the in car screen but not the FBH Big Cry
