2007 RRS 3.6 TDV8 rebuilt engine

Hi all,
I am going to buy a 2007 RRS 3.6 tdv8 with engine just rebuilt.
The engine is"new", the car has already done 170000 km.
Only 1 turbine is new and all routine maintenance has been regularly done.

Could you please advise me on some particular checks I should do in order to be sure of my purchasing?
In particular, the fact that only one turbine has been replaced can be a problem in the near future?

Thanks in advance for all suggestions

M

Was the original engine rebuilt, or was it replaced with a reconditioned engine from another car?

I’d want to know who did the engine rebuild (or supplied the recon) and find out what their reputation is. I’d preferably want to know why it was needed in the first place. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Thanks for reply.

Engine has been rebuilt in an official Land Rover service center. The seller told me that it was necessary because the previous owner used the car anyway once a water sleeve broken.
I saw the invoice of the job, for an amount of almost 6k euro.
Then ti was also necessary a check and a change of front suspensions for additional 2.5k euro.
All jobs performed in the last 3 months.
The car looks great and price is reasonable, my doubts are just related to one turbo new and one turbo with 170k km.
Will be necessary a new one quite soon ?

Tris is part of the discussion about price, togheter with a flush of the gearbox.

Sorry for my english

M.

Use the fact it only has 1 turbo changed as a bargaining chip but as long as the turbo's have been allowed to cool properly then they should be fine Thumbs Up

In your opinion, for a well serviced car with 170k km and new engine, can I expect other 50k km with no significant issues?

Nobody can tell you this, new cars come with 3 years warranty simple because they break down, so you either buy it, or you dont. Only you can decide 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))
