Clean it off the tailgate with wd40, gets any sticky glue off double time. I use a bit of old towel once I’ve soaked the glue and it works a treat.

I recently replaced mine as the edges of the lettering were weathered. I took the whole lot off with the wife's hair dryer and used the excess glue to take off the leftovers. I got lettering for about £10 and it came in a template so it all went on straight and took only a couple of minutes to to.

Excellent. I've ordered some new lettering and i'll give the residue on the boot a going over with WD40 until it's all removed. Thanks. |

Autoglym Intensive Tar remover is the product I would use it takes the sticky residue straight off & readys the paintwork for the new lettering |
