I'm pretty impressed with my wife's Evoque which I'd previously thought of as a half arsed LR (with not being a real 3.5t LR tow car). It has the same terrain response including dynamic as my RRS and very familiar dash layout. The boot is tiny though, the main area is surprisingly spacious but we still always take the RRS if all 5 of us go out as the bairns find the rear seat a lot better/wider especially with having 1 child seat still in use (they still fight over space in the RRS!).

I'm looking at the Skoda Kodiak as a possible replacement for the RRS. Seems excellent value at less than half the price. I can't justify another RRS now they've gone so far up the price scale. |

I’m definitely swaying towards an evoque as my wife only wants to be in a raised seating position. And the sq5 is a little out of my range with low miles.

Then she will be disappointed, driving the Evoque is like any normal car, you sit in it rather than on it like the 'proper' LR/RR's 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine 14MY Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4 Black Pack - wife's 99MY Defender 90 TD5, Soft Top Conversion - my toy, and bairns favourite |

I know what you mean the throne position is not there but after looking around at an x3, a Q5 and even a XC60 which was a little boring the Evoque is way ahead in most interior and exterior feel and looks if only the engine was better then it would be perfect. Mini Countryman All4? I recently ordered a Mini Countryman PHEV to replace my RRS in April. It isn’t a high up driving position but if she only does a handful of miles a day then the PHEV (26 miles electric range + a 1.5ltr 3 cylinder twin turbo petrol for if you get to the end of the battery) might prove cheaper to run than any of the above. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
