The rear hatch operation is clever, the centre dash with hiden satnav screen is really smart but the outside................. no thanks, looks like a Saab 9-3 on stilts. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Sorry guys, but I like it.

Interior will never make production, nor will clever boot but I think in concept form it looks good.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

ST is right about the tailgate. Very nice on a concept car but it will never see production. Can you imagine standing on a supermarket car park in the pouring rain, waiting for the tailgate to do its stuff.

Note to VA: Supermarket = The place your Butler goes to replenish your food cupboards when the Internet is down

The new fan-dangled centre consul is a design engineers dream too. When the sun eventually begins to shine through the glass roof, it would be impossible to read the electronic display on that centre stack.

There will be quite a few changes to this concept vehicle before it gets anywhere near a production line. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I like the look of that, yes a lot of the bits are OTT and as TB says will not make production but overall very nice.
Was talking to a friend who is a Volvo tech at a big dealership the other day, he says that they run out of things to do by mid day, faults are pretty rare apparently.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I have been interested in the new small coupe that Volvo has launched, the C30 and have been participating in one of the owners forums. My one and only experience with owning a Volvo was generally a fairly happy one provided I didn't want to travel any great distance in rainy weather and then it just used to stop and sulk! Never made it further south than Forton services in about 6 attempts with my 480ES! Lovely car, shame about the non-watertight ECU's (I've read of similar problems somewhere else too..... think TD5 Defenders!)
I recently had a test drive in a C30 and they are nice BUT, rear quarter over the shoulder visiblity is awful (Volvo fit the BLIS, blind spot camera system as standard). It is tiny and dark inside after the RRS and the interior and dash is a huge slab (OK of decent quality) of black plastic, the F2 dash is far more pleasing. I noticed that on the clever "floating" dash section, Volvo has used printed text for all the controls instead of icons which means you have to read switches until you are used to their location/function, which to me isn't too great a "safety" feature. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Externally it's years ahead of the XC90, but the interior's very pie in the sky. Like everyone else had said, it'll never be like that when it hits the dealers.

Oh - and what was wrong with that guy's hair? Confused

Could be interesting to see what they do with the 90 as well though.

Not that I would buy one Embarassed

Off topic, was out for a walk today and a brand new Q7 went past at about 15mph, well it was a mile or so away from the nearest petrol station Laughing
In one way it is a very ugly car but then as I have said before it does have 'something' about it and I think big expensive cars can get away with being ugly if they can catch your eye.
