Some would suggest they are replaced every 6-12 months, so wear & tear isn't really trying it on. Then again, maybe they should be on the service schedule, along with aircon regas. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Syl would seem to have a point here. If they need to be replaced every 6 months then it should be part of service. They are, after all, a safety item ( well certainly the front ones).

I had my wipers changed under warranty when car was 12 months old and 4K miles (years ago now!). I didn’t ask, they just changed them. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

I struggle to see how wipers can be classed as anything but wear and tear, it just takes some numpty to drag them across a frosty windscreen and then that's them .
