Hi all picking up my 2005 RRS HSE on Friday the question I have is the car is on 20" tyres but the spare is a 19" would I need this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-L40...SwnCFaJcaQ or would the air suspension compensate for the difference.

Should be 275 40 20 on the car and the spare should be 255 55 or 50 19 which is the normal size of wheels on these so you will be fine as the rolling diameter will be about the same |

Thanks Tim never thought of it that way @ geoffsnook those figures ring a bell I know the road tyres are 275 40 20 and the spare didn't look like a skinny spare I've seen on other cars. Will have a proper look when I pick him up, just that we are going away in the tin tent for our usual new year bash with friends and just wanted to get all my ducks in line. If it ain't broken down it soon will

The RRS, FFRR and post D2 Discos have all had a reduced section spare with the option of a full sized spare, rather than a space saver - remember the spare may have to get you back from a grouse moor to the main road too so a space saver isn’t much use. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When they wear down I would suggest you change to 275 45 20 as it improves the ride I would also personally change the spare to match and yes they will fit in the spare, enjoy the new car when you get it 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Also an RLD spare wheel protector is worthwhile finding so that it is impossible to chop the winch wire for the spare and have the spare disappear! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My 2010 TDV8 came with 275/40 R20 tyres from the factory and the spare fitted was a 255/50 R19 tyre. |
