1972 would make it a very early one as in 1976 I was ona ship where we carried the first 6 3 door Rangies out to Dubai and they didn’t even have a factory option of aircon then but after market roof mounted units.......... which meant that 3 of the 6 were delivered to the Sheik in open top design (which set a trend for convertible RR’s!) ........ as the additional height had not be declared and when we opened the hydraulic tween deck of the ship the three cars stowed underneath the panels where drastically redesigned...... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I would suggest that you contact Land Rover as they are on the hunt for classic vehicles for restoration and they may be interested in buying it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I loved the original 3 door range rover, they were amazing vehicles, especially as my dad had a 997cc Ford Anglia at the time.

Owned a V8 petrol 4 door about 1990 model. Really nowhere near as good as the diesel Land Cruiser 80 series that I replaced it with. Did like the driving position but in comparison the the landcruiser it was a third world vehicle at the time. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |
