And the winner is

In my hunt for a RRS I've narrowed it down to two.
2005 HSE
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ad...romSA=true
and a 2008 S
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ad...omSA=true,
yes the S has less bells and whistles but as it will be used mainly as a tow car for my caraven do I need all the gadgets and less to go wrong bonus is it comes with a 12 month warranty, and there is one abiding principal I have always lived by

May as well go for the S, keep the 17in rims and have a proper RR style ride. As you say, if it's just for towing your mobile chicane, you don't need lots of toys.

Make sure the belts have been done or factor in the cost of doing so as soon as you get it home. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I would go for the HSE, it has had a fair bit of money spent on it over the years and appears to be in very good condition. Its also £230 cheaper to tax. You could try to negotiate for a full year warranty on that one. Looking further ahead to when you want to sell the car on, I don't think there will be much demand for an RRS without leather seats. Just my thoughts!

Hi,
think I would want leather and heated seats Confused not too fussed about other stuff though so depends what You like?

Not so sure about the Service history of the 2005 HSE Exclamation looks like it has had 1 service in the last 4 years and 40k in 2015 about time of previous owner change and if there is no evidence of belts changed then that was left as well Shocked
I know you have it in hand to do but good Recent history is better than good early history.

may be thinking the worst as you have seen the car in the flesh Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022

The 05 HSE ran really well though I'd get it properly checked same for the 08 S and the dealer said he could put leather no heat in the 08 for around £300. I am leaning towards the HSE even though it's 3 year older as it would include a full service, both belts, upgraded oil pump and 3 month warranty but I'll push for 12 months decisions decisions.
