I had the same issue and was concerned it might either damage a cable or compromise the weather sealing; I had it rectified under warranty without issue or resistance from the dealer. |

From the second photo, it seems like you already have the fix to prevent the cable catching the seal but has failed to work. Mine had the problem and it was fixed under warranty by simple plastic clip to keep the cable away (which is visible on the photo). |
