RAI Anybody tried these?

I realise it isnΒ΄t a full blown sealed snorkel, but could do the job in an accidental dip...

Looks basically the same as a factory RAI and has the same limitations.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Limitation is that it is not a snorkel (as they suggest). It is a raised inlet intended to pull in clean air instead of dusty air. The device isn't water proof. Even if the device itself is waterproof, the hose within the vehicle's wing isn't and so water can get in.

You can make a waterproof system but then you just get deeper until you kill the electrics or you float off downstream, never to be seen again. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I'll manage without one then. Thanks.
