Recently my Transfer case became noisier than usual. Investigation is pointing toward bearings so I took oportunity and bought second hand transfer case. To be on a safe side, that one was opened and all bearings and seals replaced (kit purchased from AF). The rest was in good condition.
Now, I a facing a problem. LR dealer is on remote place, but friend of mine has workshop for 4x4 and he is familiar with mechanical part of this job, but no LR diagnostics.
We need to transfer actuator motor and position sensor from my old box but solenoid (one which needs to be energized to remove) will stay on "new" unit. I know that calibration must be performed for switched transfer case to operate correctly.

My question is, can I use calibration procedure described in workshop manual (I found that instructions) or LR diagnostics must be used.
Just to mention that I am in process to order IIDTool but that will take some time to get it here.

Thank you Ian, more difficult way to do it I guess.
Just to ask, any other software can do it? Friend has Launch fiagnostics, only I am not sure which one.
