Spare wheel HSE

This cann't be right! The S and SE get a full size spare yet the HSE does not. See this LR link

Isn't it to do with the wheel size? HSEs have 19s (in fact don't they have 20s in the 2007 spec?)... I assume the spare wheel cavity only fits an 18in wheel.

It's all too confusing. So if the HSE has 20's as standard now am I right in thinking they have the big brakes too so fitting 19's for offroad use is out of the window. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Hmm... I don't know. An HSE comes with the DR pack now by default, doesn't it? Which would mean it also had the Brembos...

I think I'm being stupid here. The 19's fit with the Brembos but not the 18's. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

And now you only get Brembos on the front with the DR on an HSE v6 according to the brochure! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes - the 19s fit over the Brembos, but are still likely to get ruined offroad. The 18s won't fit, so you're stuffed at that point.

Brembo's have only ever been fitted on the fronts anyway Tim. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Like I said - is it not to do with the size of the spare wheel cavity?

Less than an HSE gets a 17 or 18in wheel by default and this fits in the spare wheel cavity, so they get a full size spare. Once you get to HSE, you get a 19in wheel by default and therefore the std wheel no longer fits in the spare wheel cavity, so they have to give you a space saver.

Seems logical to me, unless I've missed the point completely
