Makes you wonder if it`s made by ctek and just marked up for different makers. Steve.

It is CTEK (old XS3600). Also can't see how connecting the conditioner directly to the battery affects the way the car charges the battery - it's not as if they are both charging at the same time.

I connect my CTEK to the posts in the engine bay.

ETA: This is an old video but makes the same point -

Hi,
From memory it is recommended Not to connect direct to battery, think it was to do with the BMS Question have a search on here or may have been D3 for more details about it

Regarding croc clips they are not the best connection but like every thing the more often you intend to use it should help decide the most practicle method, ours may go on 2-3 times a year so crocs will do,on the posts under the bonnet, motorbike and lawn mower will be connected up on a regular basis so have been hard wired

Hi,
A quick question on this. Does one CTEK work for your car and lawn mower? The reason I ask is that I have recently bought a ride-on and would like to give it the odd charge over winter, and also use it to keep the RRS battery in top condition as I do a lot of short trips.
Thanks
