Anyone else finding it impossible to log into this app (iPhone)? After an app update, seems to have seized up. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Some people seem to still be having problems but IOS 11.0.2 is meant to sort it. If still a problem contact LR customer services, if they get enough feedback they may get Apple to sort it.

Incidentally I don't know what might happen, the LR InControl app isn't on Apple approved program list for IOS11 it says from IOS 6 and seems to work ok on up to IOS 10, not sure why or what this could mean long term, who is responsible? LR who hold copyright and wrote program, or Apple to ensure it runs with later updates, their conditions do say programs cannot be guaranteed to run on newer IOS versions, and developers should ensure it does when announcement made, or supply new app program or updates to. John

The app still doesn't work on iOS 11.0.2. One gets the impression that the development team are well out of their depth with this app.

As for whether it is an Apple or JLR issue - despite being a Mac fanboi I am sure that Apple will put all "blame" at JLR's door too.

Maybe JLR should extend our subscription by as many months as their app doesn't work?

JLR, as do all other companies, get much advance warning of updates and modifications to IOS etc.
They are given full access to the new IOS for beta testing, before release date, ensuring they get sufficient time to match, rewrite, correct program, put forward fault reports etc and update their programs so that they will run as normal on new IOS (very similar to windows beta testing for programs) but you only get full Apple accreditation if your program still works or they say for older IOS systems only.
This unfortunately appears to have happened to JLR, (see my earlier post and Apple comment), they were not ready, appears to have not done required work and in the end customers of a very expensive toy can't use it, but this isn't just a game or program of simple means, it is virtually a operating program, which for unseen reason, LR don't have the technology experts to make simple things work. It's disgusting that they should release this without it being thoroughly beta tested which obviously it wasn't or this would have stood out to the least experienced programmer.
All people with cars relying on this should have a two year, plus lost time car had not working, as a form of compensation. InControl app is not certified currently to work with IOS 11.
Microsoft and Apple get slated for poor parts of OS and faulty programs, why are LR being allowed to get away with this poor treatment of their customers?

Not having this program myself on car, can it be operated ok through Android? Or Is it only a Apple only program? John

Works for me on iPhone 6 with 11.02 but not on iPad Air 2 with 11.02 ? Puzzling
