like you say its the way it slows you down and then takes so long to get back up to speed i would much prefer to have normal cruise control |

Overall, despite the slow reaction time I prefer it to the non adaptive CC. BUT I wish it had the feature my old Jeep Grand Cherokee had where as soon as CC was engaged the throttle pedal dropped away so you could just relax your foot. With the RRS system you have to hold your foot up (uncomfortable) or move it away from the throttle which feels a bit unsafe. Bit of a first world problem though perhaps |

i tried the other day to turn it off with my IDD but it tuned off the system and paddi i see your point but it's not for me at all it seems to brake very hard in my opinion when it is not needed but that's me so if i can turn it off and still keep cruise then that would be good |

Apart from a message about ACC not available, what happens if you either just blank the radar or disconnect it. A lot of messing around but what if you change the switch pack to a manual operation one and switch ACC off in the CCF files only a thought but wouldn't know if it would work or not, have to admit I didn't like it either.

I run hot and cold on the acc. I find it works well on busy motorways, but is a bit annoying on quiet ones because it will slow you down to follow a car, rather than noticing your gaining on them and then pull out to go around. |

What if you disconnect plug on steering wheel switches?

John, if you disconnect the steering wheel switch would that not disable it all the same as turning it off in the CCF files?, which Geoff has already tried, probably throw up fault codes as well if switch disconnected. Cheers Col |

I find ACC a complete pain at times. I've had occasions where it's sensed cars waiting in the middle of an A road in a turning point, and braked the car hard. Also had it detecting cars coming the other direction on A roads when I'm going round a left bend. More dangerous than useful. I wish you could just turn it off. |

I did switch it in the ccf from acc to just cc but it seemed to stop the cruise from working but can i disconnect the radar without taking the bumper off |
