Cymruambyth`s 4.2 s/c HST.

I`m not planning on anything major with regards to changes, but what I do tinker with shall live here Very Happy Some thing won`t go down well with purists but I like to individualise my cars and try to do so tastefully Thumbs Up

First thing I had done was my dashcam and "safety" camera detector hardwired in.

Next was interior LED`s

Today I fitted most of this lot

First, the colour coded door skins

Secondly, the black boot badge (already fitted the button cover)

I also fitted some new cree reversing bulbs...very bright. I`ll sort a pic when it`s dark..also replaced the rear fog bulbs for cree ones too...

New key was sorted a liitle while back by RRUK from here

Before.....

After

 Steve.

Looking good Cymruambyth. You've gone down the black highlights route whereas I'm going along the chrome option. I've done my interior LEDs and as an option I bought some red and blue (and green I think?) ones to try in the footwells. Currently have the red ones there. I'll try and get a photo tonight so that you can see.

I hadn't heard of the cree reversing bulbs. I did change my original bulbs for normal LED equivalent and they were slightly brighter but I still think more reversing light would be better. I'll have a look at the cree ones if you think they work well. There was a post on here somewhere about the silly rules on reversing lights but I argue that I want to see where I am driving my 2.5 tonnes when I'm going backwards as well as when I'm going forwards!

I've also had another look at the rear dash cam and have moved mine down a bit to within the sweep of the wipers but have not yet tried it lower down. I seem to have a difficulty routing the cable (which I have now checked and is long enough) from the roof lining to the rear door. Have you any pictures of how you did yours? Robin

It`s just the one black badge......I promise Very Happy I just wanted it to stand out more.

I`ve not seen the thread on reversing lights????

My dashcam (front one) was done by an auto electrician so I`ve no idea where it all goes Laughing

These are the bulbs I bought. Look at the video lower down and it gives you an idea of the light pattern and brightness Thumbs Up There`s probably cheaper ones on ebay but I just bought everything together. Steve.

very smart exterior.

you could get some clear indicator rear lights (if you aren't going down the LED route)

Hmmm. Seems I must have dreamt the comment about reversing lights as I can’t find it now on the forum and a quick Google suggests that they are not part of MOT and, if fitted, must work, but only when reverse is selected.

So forget I said anything’s about them. Looks like you can put searchlights in the back if you want. Whistle Robin

Finally got round to getting a coat of "protection" on. Found a solution to reaching passenger side of roof.....involved some careful reversing Laughing

So, I stood on the wall to reach the roof Laughing Only a 7 foot or so drop to next doors drive Neutral

I know reflections are hard to show on light coloured cars but at least it`s got protection on Very Happy
