United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

I was initially looking for a D3 when I bought my RRS. I found a garage that had a D3 HSE and RRS HSE parked next to one another and checked them both out. The D3 was very similar in size to the RRS in the front but much more spacious in the back. But the interior felt cheaper and flimsier than the RRS. I don't need the extra space so I went for the RRS.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

I had a D3 for 6yrs, and would say that it,s taller and longer. There was more front headroom in the D3 than there is in the RRS and the back seat room, both height and leg room is greater in the D3. I briefly considered a D4 but as I didn't use the D3's 3rd row seats once, and usually it's just me and SWMBO in the car, I concluded that I don't need the space.
The large centre console in the RRS (I have the facelift Mk1) makes it feel much cosier than the D3 from the drivers seat.
Driving wise, the D3 was much more supple on the road than the RRS is and the 3.0ltr engine is much better than the old 2.7.

Thank you all for your replies, the extra headroom would be nice, but not that important
