Lazy entry - how to ?

I am hoping that someone on here knows how i find out if i have ‘lazy entry’ on my 2010 RRS HSE?

The memory seats have a life of their own and quite often move into a different position from what i have saved to the memory when i re enter the car. I have seen various posts about ‘lazy entry’ but cannot find it in the menu options or anywhere in the manual. I would just like to turn it off !!

I think it`s in the on board settings if you have it. I`m sure I`ve seen it in mine (2006). Steve.

Settings are accessed via the "ok" button on the steering wheel if memory serves, but can't say I've seen anything Regards the seat memory in the menu. Only ever set me via the buttons on the drivers door, but I'm fairly sure there is something in the manual about it. 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch

Isn't lazy entry set by the knob on the left of the steering column? Run your fingers of your left hand down the column (steady not) and you'll feel a knurled knob

I had it on my Jag and I think it's the same on the RRS. Certainly worth a try.

IIRC there are 2 positions, Auto and Manual. And in Auto the steering column will move up and the seat will move back when you switch off and take the key out. When you get in, and start the car the seat and steering column will move back to where they were set.

I think it may be possible to set it differently depending upon which key you use so that your position, and those of significant other, can be separately set. Again IIRC...

There again I may be talking a load of Censored Robin

Hi,
We had Lazy entry on our 2006, it remembers the seat position by which key is used
Our 2010 did not have Lazy entry, istr they dropped the function, the auto position on the steering column lifts the steering wheel and lowers the seat for exiting

Cheers Riverblanche.

I stand corrected. I misunderstood the definition of Lazy Entry. From my handbook (2008 TDV8):

Lazy entry. When this feature is enabled, the vehicle stores the seating and mirror positions for each remote control. Next time the vehicle is unlocked using a remote control, the position of the seat and mirrors will adjust to the last used position. This feature can be disabled or enabled in the Settings option accessed via the trip computer

Thumbs Up Robin
