What do you like best about your RRS???

Well we've had the moans now lets have the good points.

I'll start

Looks to die for!
Drives fantastic - best handling 4x4 with Dynamic Response - much better than my vogue!
Great brakes!
It feels really safe
Command driving position
Great seats - very comfortable
Solid feel and build
Great stereo
Massive spec on SE up

There's just something about the rrs - it feels like an occasion every time I drive her!

The Permagrin is still there Very Happy The comfort the shape everytime I see another RRS I know I made the right decision and foremost the reliabilty which is a big plus after listening to Land Rover horror stories including from a mechanic who worked for Land Rover for 12 years. A brilliant car just need to improve the bluetooth which is an absolute joke.(no phonebook and it's not like Land Rover haven't got the technology LR2) RRS TDV6 HSE BUCKINGHAM BLUE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR RHODIUM TASMOD SILLS PARROT 3000 EVOLUTION WHITE SIDE REPEATERS RRPORT.CO.UK BROLLY & STICKER

Had mine since Sept 05 and as " I " put it ..... the Permagrin is still there Very Happy

The Supercharged sounds great - even better when its had the JE Engineering system fitted. It looks great from every angle. Has great road presence - superb seating position & cabin. It comes with all the kit you could ask for...... ok it was designed a few years before it was launched - so technology has moved on - but all works ok for me.

If LR keep improving the sport as they have done the FFRR = we're in for some good surprises. Thumbs Up

Add Long Distance ability - it is a fantastic car to spend a whole day at the wheel or as a passenger - IMHO better than the FFRR that I had before it, as it is quieter and smoother than the TD6 that car had - the TDv8 answers that though and I'd love to try one of those on the same trip.
Mine has now driven the Glasgow/Southampton run 6 times in 18 months of ownership and if it had a built in loo I would never need to stop.................. I can do the run on 3/4 tank of diesel (505 miles) without getting any aches and pains en route. The Climate control is good (although here the FFRR WAS better as it also monitored the humidity).
It isn't a GT in the Bentley sense but in the continent eating sense YES it is a Grand Tourer 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

But you probably don't sit on the cruise at 69 mph like I do Laughing You will be whistling along at just below the speed of light. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I don't think the car has even got into 5th,let alone 6th, gear by then so if I went faster and it got into 6th would I burn less fuel Very Happy ?? Oh I do drive faster, but on a long trip like that you don't gain very much by having the stress of doing battle with CitroenSaxos, astra vans and flash BM 535d's all flashing along at 110 then having to stand on the brakes every 200 metres, makes for a very tiring drive, prefer to sit on the cruise at a sensible speed and relax when doing a 10 hour trip. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Haven't they become standard issue to every Senior Sales Executive (ie rep) in the country, seem to see an awful lot of 535's pounding the motorways these days - even more than you see FFRR's 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Oh yeah - the 5 series in general is a bit of a repmobile, I agree. But heaps more enjoyable than a Vectra anyday Wink

3 tons of metal storming away from the lights and the auto blipping the throttle on the downshift a few miles ahead.
