ive had trouble with water getting in done a pillar thing and still wet.The other day went out in the car the blower was working but nothing coming out the vents had a look on the net and diagnosed a blocked pollen filter when i removed it it was soaking wet had a new windscreen about 3years ago and no sunroof. anybody have any ideas before i start pulling the dash out.

If the pollen filter was blocked, the evaporator will have been icing up due to no airflow across it. Assuming you have now fitted a new pollen filter, check again that your air conditioning is draining condensate under the car. It could be that your evaporator drain is blocked too.

I've had rainwater leak into the pollen filter area. It's a known problem. Cause is a gap between the plenum chamber cover (flimsy black plastic panel) and the windscreen. This allows water to drop into the upward facing air intake for the ventilation system.

Check that all the plastic clips holding the plenum cover are all intact and fully pushed home. Some owners have removed the cover and fabricated a cover for the air intake to prevent water dripping directly into it. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
