As above, don't fit cheap discs. About 18 months ago the local garage called when in for the MOT to say the rear discs on my P38 were in bad condition, and I knew they were so was expecting this. I'd had the P38 7 years with the same discs, but whatever discs they have fitted are already in a terrible state (I was abroad at work so my wife said to just fix it), chunks falling off the pad face even and the P38 has been getting more use than ever lately so I'd have expected less corrosion.

Often it makes sense to buy parts direct from Land Rover if they are very specialised or may have been updated to solve a problem.

Buy direct from Dan at Duckworths (site sponsor). Buy Genuine. 2 year warranty. Cheap will warp. Ask me how I know.

Yes I always fit all genuine LR parts, and those that are fitted by my LR service dealer are LR genuine, although they give option for cheaper parts on older vehicles. See my post about 10 posts above this. If doing DIY then Dan @ Duckworth are a great source of genuine parts at good prices. Also remember there is a two year warranty on all LR genuine parts purchased from authorised outlets. IMO only ever fit genuine on safety critical parts, you don't save money fitting cheap in the long run. ![]() ![]() RRS MY12 SDV6 HSE. Buy from Dan cheaper than from main dealer then get your dealer to fit. Parts warranty unaffected as it makes no difference Visitor from fullfatrr.com
