They sense voltage to know when to turn on, so measure the voltage when engine running and lights off and post.

Hi Andy. Yes I read up on pulses sent by car to check for bulb out issues. My car doesn't have a bulb out facility. I tried the DRL's without any connection to the side lights and just had positive and negative direct to battery posts. Fault still there. I have had a suggestion it's a pulse from the smart alternator if so why aren't other components playing up. |
