I'm not sure if Bodsy's Brake Bible will help but, if you haven't looked already, might be worth a look here:

I have the same car as you and although I'm no expert, i did change all the discs and pads on mine recently and as such, had to reset the parking brake EPB. It sounds to me as simple as the shoes not being wound out fully and then wound in again 8 clicks.

Thanks for your replies. It has had new brake shoes, discs and pads but I must admit I don't think they've been adjusted as you have described so I will give that a go. I have read bodsy brake Bible regarding unjamming but there is no screeching or anything and the motor sounds perfect. It just sounds like it is winding in and out several times when I apply it and obviously not putting the park brake on. The amber brake light is sometimes on while the red one is constantly flashing but not all the time. I just find it strange the specialist kept saying there's no power to the module when blatantly there was and then charged me £48 for just plugging it in and actually telling me something that I knew wasn't right. I must admit the worse thing is having a bright red light flashing constantly while driving ha ha. |

If you're struggling then why not get Bodsy to visit you in person? He's mobile and not a million miles away........ Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Hi. I have him coming in a few weeks to flush my gear box and I have already spoke to him. I have adjusted 1 side of my brake shoes today and the red light has gone off and just the yellow light is remaining and a park brake fault comes on the dashboard but for the 1st time since the module has been fitted it is working and locking the brakes on so I'm hoping once the other side is adjusted properly tomorrow the yellow light might go out but I won't hold my breath. Just a shame the heavens decided to open while I was doing it so decided to leave driver's side until tomorrow when the weather is hopefully nicer. Cheers for everyone advice and I will get back to you once everything is adjusted properly and hopefully it will be good news. Cheers |

It seems like they read the fault codes from the previous EPB module when it broke down. Not a very cleaver indi. |

Well here's the update. I have adjusted both rear brake shoes as advised on here and the handbrake works perfectly but the orange parking light is still on. Would there be any reason for that does anyone no. Cheers |

I'm too scared to plug it in ha ha. I have a foxwell nt510 diagnostic machine which will clear them so I might do it. I just hope that the red light doesn't come flashing. I was debating whether to take it to somewhere for them to plug it in but like I say I could do it my machine. Cheers |

Just plugged it in and it has a fault of "ignition switch" there was a 3rd word but I forgot it as I didn't have my phone to take a picture. Anyone have an idea what the reason could be. My old epb module didn't have any lights on the dash but it was as where this one works but I have the yellow warning light on the dash aswell as the "parking fault" message. Any ideas would be helpful. |
