^ Shocking but sadly not surprising.

Off Topic Whenever I swap my car for a loan car, there is so much discrepancy between the courtesy car "condition report" and the actual state of the car. On every single occasion mileage has been way out and they have claimed their car to be unmarked. Then I go around it and make them take note of all the scratches, marks etc. which they had conveniently overlooked. They always manage to find the slightest of imperfections in mine when taking it in. Same situation with fuel: always half tank on paper but close to empty on the gauge. This time it was even worse and I am also to blame for believing the paperwork on fuel (still pointed out scratches, lots of them) in my rush to get to work. Zero mile range, absolutely empty on gauge, fuel warning and on reserve when I noticed about 5 minutes after setting off. Could have left me stranded on the north circular in rush hour traffic had I not pulled over and put some diesel in as soon as I could Rolling Eyes Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Just remember a service is a service. To change service items that degrade annually.

Fault codes are to ASSIST when trying to find a faulty component.
People think fault codes are the be all and end all, but they are just an aid.

Yes I will name them, however I am still trying to clear one issue with them first. My car had a suspension fault C1A13-64 Fault logged on the 14th July and I am waiting to see what they say as 14th was the Last day of my Land Rover Approved Warranty. I have sent them screen shots of the Faults.

Info back from the Main dealer.
To try to cover this new problem we have to notify the information to extended warranty Company before the end of Contract term.
Normally we have to send: a copy of service book, a copy of our order repair, a quotation. With the information in their hands they answer us if it´s necessary to send an expert or directly they can authorize the repair.

So the 2 years Approved Warranty is maybe only 50 weeks. Whistle This allows 2 weeks to identify the fault, book the car into the dealer, let them do their bit (as stated above) So in my case tuff luck Big Cry

As for reading stored faults, why would they bother, even though they have to connect the car up via diagnostic port in order to reset the service indicator. Maybe this why Land Rover Service charges are so low Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Sorry but in my book a two year warranty is two years not 1.99! What they need to do to claim is their problem. I'd go to LR an also trading standards Robin

My Sport is Spanish, no trading standards, not invented over there just yet Rolling with laughter

Dealers, well the one I use in Elche near Alicante is not nearly as good as a poor dealer in the UK. I have had a few Land Rovers for use in Spain, but the one thing I have failed to find is a good 4X4 independent. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
