Brake lights, bulbs and replacing

Hi,
My wife told me the other day that my main passenger (right hand side) brake light wasn't working. Got home and we checked, indeed. it wasn't working.
Took the car for it's MOT today and they gave me an advisory that the brake light in main cluster was not working, the spoiler brake light wasn't working and also the other red light (normal light) wasn't working.
It would seem odd that in the space of a week that 2 brake lights and the normal day running light would fail. I had a police car follow me through town yesterday and they didn't pull me over for the 3 lights being out.
could there be another excuse?
before i take the cluster apart to find out what bulbs i need - and is it so that the spoiler lamp is the whole red lamp not just new bulbs - and only from LR

I'm surprised that you also don't have a dash full of warnings of immiment doom as usually when a stop light blows it causes all sorts of spurious warning lights as well! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

not so far. only the occasional / frequent suspension warning light. Which also only seems to come on when i have ½ tank of fuel or less. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

Have you actually looked at the bulbs in the lower lights ? Rolling Eyes

The high spoiler is LED's, however there is a failure inside them (solder joint in the middle wire) which can fail and make it intermittant. If you hit it, it might start working

Took the rear clusters off when i got home from work. Not nearly as tricky as i expected. Purchased new bulbs. All changed. All working. Gave the spouler light a slap with the inside of an open palm and it flickered into life.

excellent.

If your good with your hands, it is possible to carefully remove the red off the high level brake light, solder the wire and glue it back on.

or just get a replacement
