I went from a v8 to a v6, I must say the lag on pull away was what I noticed most, you have to learn to be a lot more lead footed when pulling out of a busy junction, fuel economy was hardly noticeable probably because of the lead foot. For general running around the v6 is fine.

Why change if you like what you've got? £11k gets you a lot of warranty and / or "self insured" maintenance work done. If you've owned it from new, even better because you know exactly how it's been treated / serviced etc.

Many thanks 360, Dr Rob & RRSTDV8. That's good advice. I love the TDV8 as I think its just the best engine RR have used. You have backed me up for getting another warranty and enjoying the old girl for several more years. I only do 15,000 miles a year so really and honestly miles aren't a great problem. I took my 07 plate to 130k miles with no real problems. Thanks again |

My TDV8 has recently gone through 160k miles. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks RRSTDV8. My 07 TDV8 did 130k miles with not a lot wrong....alternator being the only big one so couldn't complain. What major items have you had to deal with, and at what sort of mileage? |

A number of those items were caused by poor dealer servicing quality. Some were just typical wear and tear. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I was offered a 230k tdv8 last week. I'm tempted to buy it as an offroader |
