Not sure if it works on the seat back I'm sure it's just the base.

Cooled seats have fans in the back and bottom and you can choose to turn them on and off indepedantly. As I said though to say they cool is a overstatement but it's better than nothing just about. |

Yes your right,,it does work on the back as well as the base but the base seems to get cooler.

Do you think Land Rover will let me trade in the car that I have ordered for the new MY18 at a later date, say if I wanted to trade it for a new MY18 in about a year. my finance is with Land Rover (black horse) and is a 4 year PCP |

I would cancel if I was you unless you are happy taking the my17 as my soon to be year old Hse dynamic which has stealth pack & fully loaded to near AB spec has lost around £15k the first year! All dealers i have spoken to say they buy in on Cap clean which is around £56k for mine which was £79k before discount, just glad I got the £8k off or would be worse. Only good news if I pick out similar cars at 2 years old & 3 years old of the approved used cars website & use their registrations Cap is currently at £51k for a 2 year old & £48k for a 3 year old with my predicted annual mileages on. I will now keep what I have until its around 2.5 years old & hopefully get around £49k for it if they don't change their mind again! Good luck with what you decide! |

Yesterday I put my reg into the What Car? Valuation thingy and my March 2015 HSE Dynamic came out as being worth £52500 with 17000 miles and excellent condition - cost me £67000 including Pano roof, 22" wheels, privacy and stainless steel front and rear bash plates 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim sort of fits along Cap clean values then, as long as I get around the late 40's early 50's at around 3 years old I'll be reasonably happy but I thought it would have been a bit more equally split, I know the first years the worst but this size of loss seems excessive considering similar cars to mine are currently retailing at £66 to 67k, I would have thought them having £5k across the car would be enough but not for LR dealers obviously. |

Only to be expected when car sales tax and VAT make such a large proportion of the original purchase price. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Wilf I totally agree if it was a basic car, however after various different dealer discussions before purchase it was specked with most of the "must have" extras to get maximum return on part ex at over £10k more than list price, won't do it again though it will be a near standard AB in future.

My car was originally ordered by the dealership for one of their directors but it was sold to me 2 days before it was built and I couldn't change anything. I assume that the factory extras fitted to it are those that will loose the least as it would have been sold on after 5-6 months as a nearly new car. So I assume on an HSE Dynamic the must have options are pano roof, 22" wheels and privacy, or at least they will loose the least over the life of the car. Was initially concerned about the 22" wheels causing harshness to the ride but I needn't have worried its as good as it was on the 19's of my TDv6 SE and 20"s of the 2007 TDv8 HSE. The only option I would have added would have been the heated steering wheel as my car lives outside all year round. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My understanding has always been that options do not hold their value, whatever a dealer might tell you. Now some options might make a vehicle more saleable, certainly, but not necessarily at a higher price. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
