United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver
Brake light switch

Having an intermittent suspension fault come up on the dash whenever I stop at a junction or red light. The fault only shows for about 15 seconds then goes away. Suspension works as it should other than that. I've been advised to check the brake light switch. I went to my local car part store and gave them my vehicle details, 2005 Range Rover Sport, and they gave me this part below. From a google image search it doesn't look like the right part to me. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

It's a 2.7 TDV6 HSE

Armed with my google research I took me the part back to the store. Turns out it is the wrong part, and it's in the wrong box too!

I hate how they seal these switches with Epoxy.... this just prevents a simple switch from being serviceable thereby forcing people to replace it. A switch is a switch. Nothing terribly complicated about it.

Agreed, but at least they are not too expensive....

I had all sorts of funny suspension faults with my old L320 a few years ago. It took me a while to realize that it was the brake light switch. A 10 minute job to replace it sorted everything.
