RRS sales to the public started at the end of May 2005, which IIRC would make them an 05 plate. If you have or know anyone with a 54 plate RRS then please can you contact the CVC Register forum as they are a "club"/ register for pre-production cars that escaped the LR crusher and were sold on by the company after launch. Yesterday I was at the Scottish Land Rover Show and saw a lovely 54 plate "First Edition" 4.2 S/C RRS which wasn't really a 1st Edition because it wasn't built for sale to the public but had all the kit save the Stormer wheels. This was the Vesuvius Orange RRS that was featured on Top Gear driven by JC and also on 5th Gear driven by Tiff Niddell. There are also TDv6 pre-production cars as well as some other S/C's in public hands. They aren't worth any more than a standard car BUT are of a lot of interest as they often have weird specifications over the standard cars and also have kit that was never included in the final spec sold to the public.
