Hi all,I seem to have picked up an intermittent fault with my 2005 s/c sport,starter just clicks when turning the key,I have a new battery and the system is charging,tried in park and neutral,it's been going on for a few weeks,it's been good for a couple of weeks but failed again today,it did eventually start though,starter or relay issues?,I'm confused😫

Poor connection, check the earth cable including engine to body is secure.

Had the same issue on and off for weeks. At the same time the front parking sensors were intermittent and 'phone sometimes failed to pair on starting up. After a while all returned to normal even though I had not found the fault. Then the alternator failed. I can't help thinking the faults were in some way related to the alternator going bad. It was a diode that had blown up.

Mine did that when the starter was on its way out. New starter cured it, obviously. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi,thanks for all of ur answers to my problem,my front parking sensors have also been playing up so I will get the earth strap checked and maybe just replace the starter😫,thanks again👍🏻
