2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

hissing noise when taking foot off accelerator

hi all
when i take my foot off the accelerator on my rrs am getting a hissing noise similar to the noise a dump valve makes

any ideas to what this could be ?? D Ledingham

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

Blocked or leaking recycling valve or EGR related fault. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

It's normal. My own car does it, as do many other TDV6's I have driven. Need to listen quite hard to hear it.

Unless it's very loud, then you have an issue

Mines pretty loud ish... though only when radio off i notice it and only in lower gears when coming off throttle and only at certain revs i thought was just turbo still spinning after coming off gas! 2nd gear 2 and a half revs come off throttle get a cool woooshh whistle noise for about a second doesnt seem loud loud as passers bu dont notice it
