Having just driven the length of Portugal, through Western Spain, ferry from Santander to Portsmouth and then the length of UK in 3.5 days, I don't think I am ready for another journey like that this year, but sure looks like fun. If anyone is thinking of using the same ferry route, book NOW it could save you around £200 each way!!!

Current plan is to have a few days in southern-ish France - Dordogne looking favourite at the moment. Some nice little places to rent for a week and a definite slow pace for a few days of chilling. Good day's drive down (planning to go over the channel and stop for the night (Abbeville?) and then spend the day driving down in leisurely fashion) and a decent drive to Les Comes too but all looks doable. Just got to find one we like and that is available.

Already getting the "I hope the RRS is reliable for the whole trip" worries...

Annoyingly looks like I'll need new tyres for the trip too. The current ones are ok if it's dry but might get a bit interesting on wet/muddy tracks. Grabber AT with about 4mm of tread left, bit less on the shoulders.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
