Broken wire

Was having a snoop under the bonnet this morning and noticed that there was a broken wire going into a connector.
Any one able to say

That's the pressure sensor for the A/C to shut the a/c pump down when the gas pressure is low to protect the pump as the gas carries the lubricant for the system it also shuts the pump down if you get a fault that causes excessive pressure in the system. I guess your a/c isn't working at the min? Clickadeeclick

OK, thanks. What are we looking at in terms of a fix, connecting the 2 parts of the cable back together or a new cable?
A/C doesn't really blow cold and takes ages to get warm. also makes a whistling noise. a lot, which only goes when accelerating.

I would be soldering that and puttting a piece of glue lined heat shrink tube over it to keep it sealed, just don't keep the iron on the wire for too long as it's so close to the plug it might make the terminal loose. Clickadeeclick
