I thought it very similar to the "old" Top Gear with Clarkson & Co. Only the faces have been changed to protect the innocent!!!!

Apart from Matt LeBlanc, they haven't got the personality for it, leaving him with no-one to 'bounce' off. I recorded it, and mostly watched it on fast forward. |

Yep, they're trying too hard to copy the old trio, and failing. |

Gents, I have been a favourite for the old Top Gear boys and still watch all the reruns on Dave, I have watched The Grand Tour and found mainly very good but some parts not. I refused to watch the new Top Gear purely as I'm not a fan of Chris Evans and maybe being a bit childish was hoping it would fail and it did. Would it be worth my while watching the new set up or would it be just a waste of time |

chris evans did at least bring a little bit of charisma, definitely lacking in all 3 now. |

Each to his own but I thought it was entertaining (my wife thought it was rubbish). It also needs time to bed in as its not perfect. I'm sure the first ever Clarkson Top Gear wasn't totally accepted straight away. I do get the feeling with the Grand Tour, that they're trying a bit too hard, and again I think that will settle down in time. Robin

Most car enthusiasts had some empathy with the old Top Gear presenters - "three blokes down the pub".
