Don't know how your differs from my 2008 TDV8 but here's my thoughts:
It sounds like you need the codes read.
Did you purchase privately or through a car dealer? Any warranty? Go straight back to the seller and get him to fix it.
Do you have the off road screen on your touch screen? If so with engine running adjust the height of the car and check that the little lines above each wheel on the display are white. If any red that points to an error in that corner Robin

No brought it privately, he did tell me about it but I think I just fell in love with it and just wanted it. There's no screen in mine to look at the on screen levels etc just hope it's nothing major as it drives lovely and air bags go up and down ok and I'll never use the off road function

If it does it just after you started it, and then goes away straight away it could just be that the battery is a bit flat.

This is what happened to mine and it was the leaking cap on the compressor drying chamber, get underneath rear passenger door you will see an oddly shaped black plastic cover, pretty sure it requires 3 bolts to remove and some plastic tabs around the edge, once off, just spray some fairly liquid an water, if there's a leak it will bubble up .

I've spoken to the previous owner and he said it's been like this since he brought it, 2 years he says ? And he was apparently told that the battery died and was replaced at main dealer and this come up on dash ever since. Never bothered him as he had no intention of using off road functions. True or not I don't no

Hi mate, yer I used to deal with West 4x4 when I was in the motor trade as a parts sales person. You said about reading the codes ? Have you got something to plug in to get codes or if I give you codes you can tell me what they are ?
