United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Considering a Full Fat, and Keeping the RRS.

So I have had the RRS three or four years. Despite it draining money the first few months of ownership on every known issue imaginable, it has been alright the last couple of years (apart from rear brake pipes this week).

I am thinking of a larger, slightly later FF one with the later style dash in. Mine is an early RRS with the green Fisher Price screen. I can't go back to sitting on the floor in a "normal" car.

However, if I upgrade, wifey likes mine (she steals it whenever she can) and has already decided it will be hers.

So looking at a big un, probably diesel, £15-20k is probably around the mark I was thinking of, so started the topic looking for any pointers you good folks can offer. Which ones/what to avoid, what year certain specs are from, etc.

Any pointers, useful links and general advice from those who know more than me about the FFRR most welcome. This topic is the start of my research on the subject. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Have you joined FullFatRR.com as they will be best people to tell you? I have run both a TD6 2003-2005 SE which was a lovely car with an awful wheezy BMW straight 6 3.0ltr motor and a 2010MY TDv8 FFRR Vogue. Model names can be confusing - 2003 to 2008 were SE, HSE and Vogue, 2009 onwards were Vogue, Vogue SE and Autobiography. Older ones suffer a lot of condensation in the panels between the boot and outer skin that can drip down onto all the electronics for the ICE and in car computers etc, sign that there is issues with the very complex climate control system. The early ones have a dot matrix LCD display in the dash that fails (the pixels die slowly), Look out for blacked out engine management warning lights (usually EGR issue). I would say L320 suffers all the same problems as RRS mechanically. The interiors are beautifully built and can take a lot of abuse. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
