United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Firenze Red
Blind Spot Detection

Just driven from Heathrow to Newcastle (because of those damned French Air Traffic Controllers) in a hired Vauxhall Zafira.
Not a bad car and it was fitted with a safety device that I've never seen before.
A blind spot detector that flashed a light near the side mirror when a vehicle was overtaking but still not showing in the mirror.
Got to say it's a marvellous innovation....wish it was fitted in my Range Rover.
Does anyone know if it fitted to the newer models ?
If not it should be.

It is as an option on all models except the Autobiography and SVR, where it is standard. It is included in the Drive Pack which is an £800 Option.

My mother has it on hers, she went to the dealers to try get them to disable it as it drove her nuts! They wouldn't, so in the end she bought some cheap stick on blind spot mirrors and stuck them over the LEDs to stop it flickering, she found them more of a distraction.

It wasn't standard at least when I got my Autobiography in Sep 2015. I added that as an optional extra and find it to be a very useful safety feature that works really well Thumbs Up Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
