So, had a butchers at what his might have been. i was wrong. It didn't go into the fuse box. it goes to the back of the battery and then runs across the engine bay to the other side and then disappears into the cabin (i believe), but there is nothing inside the cabin extra. i installed the Parrot Mini Asteroid. Possibly previous owner had something and removed it.

Disconnect it, while stationary of course, and then run a complete systems check, you should soon find out what, if anything, it was. John

Could be an aftermarket power feed for a dash cam. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
