More electrical problems?

picked up the car on Wednesday after having the new alternator fitted, was told it was now giving out 14.4 volts and the battery was fine. Drove around Thursday then did a motorway trip up to Costa Blanca on Friday. All was going well for the first 1 hour then the sat nav screen flashed and went back to Land Rover screen and the continued as if it had just been turned on. This happened a few more times and on a couple of occasions the information centre also restarted and a couple of dash light flashed on and off. At no time did the engine falter or lose power. I continued for another 1 hour and then had to stop. I was concerned about switching off in case it would not restart but had to and it stopped and started for the rest of the afternoon. I range the garage that had fitted the alternator and they said they would look into it and contact various people and for me to ring them back in couple of hours. When I rang them back they said they thought it might be a problem with the earth on the engine mounting and could I stop in on the way back. They did not have time to do a complete check on Friday afternoon so I booked in for the afternoon. They ran the diagnostics again and found an earth leakage of 0.7 so found the engine earth mounting and replaced the bolt. The result was that the leakage has gone down to 0.1 and they hope this will have cured the fault. Don't ask me all the technical questions but the way they explained it and some more research on the web it does sound feasible, only time will tell. 2 hours labour €70
